As parents living in the non-Arabic speaking countries, we are more concerned about our children’s Islamic education than parents living in Muslim countries. The challenge is set higher; we have to take this issue very seriously and help our children to preserve their Islamic identity and live their lives according to the principles of Quran and Sunnah.
It is a responsibility upon the parents to give their children the opportunity to acquire this learning. Some parents may say, learning the Arabic language is not mandatory and it is enough for the child to read the Quran translation. Indeed, when you read Quran, you are rewarded for every letter ten times but if you read and understand it, you will appreciate and taste the sweetness of the word of Allah.
